We all have a sister, a daughter, a niece, an aunt or cousin, a little girl in our lives that we care about. You've said it, we all have, "if there was a good cause, a company that was doing really great work, I would help". Here we are, that great cause that you've been waiting for. The Peer Peeriod for girls company is having a fundraiser to encourage: Girls in participating schools will learn about puberty, the physical and emotional changes that occur. We will teach them to prepare for the arrival of their first monthly period(menarche), and if they have already begun menstruation, we will teach them how to properly care for themselves.

You may ask, " Shouldn't parents teach their girls this information"? Sure they should, but what about the parents that are not teaching their daughters? What about the girls that are too shy to ask their parents questions? We provide an outlet for these girls, in addition to other girls that have the benefit of parents that have talked to them consistently about these topics. Our forum allows girls to ask questions and voice concerns in an environment that is conducive to free exchange and learning. It truly takes a village and with your donation you would be helping us to educate and prepare more girls for these major milestones.

We help prepare them for their monthly period. Preparation helps minimize the fear and stress associated with menstruation. In addition it helps eradicate the many myths that are out there, giving them a clear understanding of this monthly process they will experience. We give them information and tips on how to improve their hygiene, especially during their cycle, teach them bathroom etiquette and countless other essential pieces of information.
